Native Cow Skull T-shirt Recon

I haven't really had the drive recently to keep up with this blog...just in a creative slump i suppose but randomly earlier in the week i decided to paint on an old tan shirt i had laying around.
It's always important to put something solid between your shirt when painting or drawing on it so it doesn't go through to the other side, it also make it much easier. Its also very smart to use fabric paint/pens so it wont come off when you wash it (or do what i do and never wash the shirts i paint unless absoulutly necessary)
Here is what i decided to paint up (i was randomly feeling southern i suppose). I decided it needed to be much smaller and a tank top since spring is coming so here is what i did.
I used one of my favorite tank tops as a template for the straps by tracing the sahpe of the top onto my over sized shit and just cut the lines....
i ended up with this (i later cut the neckline down more so it would look/fit better) Always remember to cut a little at a time because you can always cut more off but once you cut too much you are generally screwed.
To make it fit better i tried the shirt back on and pinned it on both sides to the size i wanted and simply sewed and (basically) straight line all the way from top to bottom. After that just cut the edges off making sure not to cut your new seam. I purposely didn't sew this inside out because i wanted the rough edges

...and here we have the final product :]
